The BEST Five Minute Shrimp Sauce on the Internet

Seriously, this tangy & sweet five minute shrimp sauce is incredible AND incredibly easy to make.

If you’ve ever been to a Hibachi restaurant, you’ve had the delicious & magical dipping sauce that’s served with everything. It’s sweet, tangy- and you can’t quite figure out what’s in it. Well my friends, it’s much less complicated than you think (the only time consuming part of this five minute shrimp sauce is measuring the ingredients).

What goes into this five minute shrimp sauce?

You most likely have all the ingredients required to make this delicious dipping sauce. Here’s what you need.

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (Heinz PLEASE)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (I add more sometimes, depending on my mood)
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup water

Okay, now what?

My new favorite way to mix this sauce is by throwing everything into a mason jar and shaking it. Previously, I mixed it in a Pyrex measuring cup. It is SO simple to throw all of this into a container and shake it, I would never go back to making it another way.

I love this recipe for egg rolls, stir fry, sushi, chicken, and veggies. It’s fantastic on anything, really. This recipe doubles easily- just be careful that you’re not making extra sauce that will sit in your fridge forever!

Let me know what you think!
