Hi, I’m Kat
My journey in the kitchen started before I can remember. I come from an Italian family where my grandmother (Nona as we called her) ran the show in the kitchen. I spent my childhood learning how to cook and bake from her. Everything was exciting- the nut horns, Easter “pizzas”, the immaculate multi-course seven fishes Christmas Eve dinner. She would share stories of my great Aunt Faye teaching her to cook, and every word inspired me to become great in the kitchen.
I considered going to culinary school and becoming a “real” Chef, but sweating for hours as a line cook to work my way up the ranks did not appeal to me. So here I am years later, an Engineer who’s true love is cooking for the people she cares for most.
I’m excited to start this journey, and hope you all will enjoy my recipes and stories.
